Shallow Waters

Riley was in the castle in her usual outfit, sitting in the kitchen. She just finished breakfast. Riley looked around. She still wasn't use to living in the castle. It was Riley's birthday. Nobody knew except she did. She didn't like her birthday because 14 years ago thats when her parents started abusing her.

Amiera looked around as she walked into the castle, as a few guards gave her dirty looks she scowled walking up to the top of the castle and next to Riley, she then ran at her and hugged her, Happy birthday! she exclaimed as she let go, Hows your birthday been? she asked giving Riley a present (choose something lol) and pulling her top down trying to hide the bump she had.

Riley giggled and hugged Amiera back. "Thanks. Its been okay". Riley said. Riley opened her present, and found a locket in it, she put it on. "Thanks Amiera. Do you care to explain what your hiding from me"? Riley asked.

Amiera blushed slightly, "I don't know what your on about..." she replied, though it was slightly obvious, though knowing Riley she would be certain before accusing Amiera of anything. "And good." she replied, smiling as she saw Riley put on the locket.

'Yes you know what I am talking about. Its obvious". Riley said. "Your reply, your blush, you hiding your stomach, its obvious Amiera". Riley said. "So tell me, whats going on". Riley said. She smiled at Amiera. "Its a beautiful locket thank you so much". Riley said to her.

Amiera sighed, "Well...I... I'm pregnant..." she replied, sighing at Riley. What is she a spy or something? Or maybe she just knows and wants to make sure...anyway she thought, then waiting to see Riley's reaction.

Riley smiled. "It was my brother wasn't it? I am happy for you Amiera. I know your going to be a great mother". Riley said. She wasn't mad. "I can't wait for the young one to come, it'll be such a joy to have a little baby around". Riley said.

Amiera smiled slightly,"Yeah it was," she replied. "I am 8 and a half months... it's a girl," she added, though she realised how stupid it was not telling her baby's auntie but she knew now. "And i dont think Daniel shares your sense of compassion." Amiera added.

"Oh? I'll have to speak to him". Riley said. "I love little kids, I won't harm them like my parents did to me". Riley said. "8 and 1/2 your close to the end". Riley said. "Amiera, can I help you deliver the baby when she comes"? Riley asked.

Amiera looked suprised at Riley before smiling sharply, "Of course you can, and thanks..." she replied to Riley as she yawned, "I dont know if your shocked or not by this... it wasnt exactly subtle but since i couldnt tell Daniel because i havent seen him i havent told him..." she added.

"Thanks Amiera. I haven't seen Daniel either to tell you the truth". Riley said. "I am not shocked at all". Riley said. "Would you like something to eat Amiera"? Riley asked.

Amiera shook her head, I still dont know what i can and cant eat so i havent eaten anything in just over a month except a slice of bread. she replied, sitting down, Thanks for the offer though, she added, then wondering where Daniel had gone.

"Hm..I don't know what you can and can't eat. You can't eat fish I think. Your welcome". Riley said, sitting across from Amiera. "I know your worried about him, so am I. But he will come home soon, hopefully". Riley said.

Yeah...I hope, I don't want to have to raise her on my own... Amiera said looking down,Forget about that, it's your birthday! she added, looking back up at Riley.

"You won't have to raise her on your on. I will help you. Yeah it is my b-day! And I loved the news about your baby, and I love the locket. I don't really have anything planned to tell you the truth". Riley said. Riley smiled at Amiera.

Amiera smiled at Riley as she looked at her bump, That's so sweet...Thanks she replied, then wondering what they could do for Riley's birthday

"Its my pleasure Amiera. So do you have any idea what we can do for my b-day"? Riley asked. Riley didn't really celebrate her birthday. She just thought of it as another year she lived.

Amiera shook her head, Not really, I dont know much about the water nation... she replied, frowning slightly at Riley, then looking outside at the clouds...Why dont we make a cloud saying your name or something? Air and Water is what clouds are right?

"That sounds fun. Yeah lets do that. Just don't strain yourself". Riley said. Riley didn't want Amiera to strain herself, and make the baby come earlier than needed or anything.

Amiera looked at her and nodded,Okay then, she replied, nodding at Riley as she warned her about the baby coming early.

Riley walked outside. Riley's mind wandered.
