[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Clothes: Mei is has a rather rebelious attitude, and prefers to wear her own clothing other than the robes enthrusted to her in order to gain identity as the Fire Nation's Leader. Her usual attire when she is not out in public consists of a lot of black leather, and revealing cuts. She wears boots mainly that are ankle length, and skirts are her preference. That, and cropped shirts that are tight fitting and tied up with lace (as pictured above). When she is out and around, she does do her position justice by wearing red robes with fine golden linings and inscriptions.

History: Mei was born into royalty, her mother and father being the joint leaders of the Fire Nation at that time. She was an only child, and therefore pampered from a very young age. Despite all of the fuss she got as a child that would make any other person spoilt and unpleasant, it had the exact opposite effect. She could see right and wrong in many people, and knew that her parents weren't right to spoil her so much. That; and she also realised how unfairly the other civilians around their palace were being treated. On her walks with the many carers she had, she noticed the amount of people in poverty and saw children of her age dying from illness. It horrified her that her mother and father could let this happen. She was constantly told that one day she would be the Fire Nation's leader. When that day came, Mei was going to make changes to the society. That much was for certain in her mind.
At the age of 7, Mei started to show talent in Fire Bending like her father. Her mother was a warrior and couldn't bend an element, so the talent couldn't have come from her. From 7 up until 13, Mei was trained unbelievably hard in order to become the best. Her father occasionally trained her, but it was mainly his assistants that had the task. In truth, Mei hardly ever saw her parents. They were always locked up in their chamber with other royalties away from her. Whenever her mother had the opportunity, she would brag about how beautiful Mei was. It was true, but at times it got tiresome. Mei got to the point after she exeeded all expectations in power that she didn't care for her parents, and never would do.
By the time Mei turned 15, the Fire Nation was falling to pieces outside of the palace. Civilians were dropping like flies, and all her spiteful parents would do was laugh and drink more wine. It was a sight that Mei could not bare for much longer. Fuelled by anger generated by her parents, Mei began to train herself harder in Fire Bending, reaching levels that she never thought were attainable...
At last, when Mei was 16, she was near breaking point. She was ready to kill her parents herself, but that would solve nothing and she would be kicked out of the kingdom. So she had to grit her teeth and just go with whatever happened. She prayed to whatever God she believed in every night for something horrible to happen to her parents and send them into hell, where she thought they belonged.
As if Mei's prayers were answered, when her parents were out at a festival of which she didn't attend for being ill, they were killed by assasins of an unknown purpose. It over-joyed her so much, that her recovery was very swift indeed. When she had gotten over the illness she had managed to get, she was nearing her 17th birthday. The death of her parents was looked into as much as possible, but no leads were found. Mei was granted the position of the Fire Nation's Leader because there was no one else to take over the rule. Due to her late parents' selfish nature, they killed off all other relatives just to keep the title to themselves and their small family that was Mei.
After a year, the Fire Nation is currently rebuilding itself under the rule of Mei. It's economy is better than ever, and the wealth is shared out between all the peasants. Mei makes daily appearances to her people to survery the capital city, and she quite frequently travels across to the other places under her reign. A brighter future is now appearing for the people in the Fire Nation, and will remain so as long as Mei is their leader.
